LinkedInThe Global Advisory Council governs the direction of the CVC | Open Innovation Summit. It sets the vision of the platform, shapes the architecture of every agenda, and holds the standard for who is invited into the room.
The Global Advisory Council safeguards the integrity and independence of the dialogue, and keeps the work of the platform directed at the long term, beyond any single Summit.
The council holds final responsibility for five things. Together they decide what the platform works on, who takes part, and whether its work can be trusted.
Sets the direction of the platform and the questions it exists to work on.
Shapes how each Summit is built, so that dialogue leads to decisions and to work that continues.
Defines who is invited: senior leaders who allocate capital and carry responsibility for strategy.
Keeps the platform independent. Financial support carries no editorial or invitation control.
Holds the continuity of the work across regions and from one Summit to the next.
The members of the Global Advisory Council carry senior responsibility for strategy, investment and global trade. They bring the judgement of people who have made these decisions themselves, across regions and industries.

The platform is governed so that influence follows contribution. The Global Advisory Council holds final responsibility for its direction and its standards.
Co-hosts shape the themes of a Summit and invite their peers. Partners fund the platform and take part as peers. Neither payment nor participation carries control over the agenda or over who is invited.
Every request is reviewed before it is confirmed. Corporations can also shape a Summit as a co-host, or support the platform as a partner.
